ignition system upgrade

what benifits would you get from an ignition system upgrade , by that i mean

high voltage coil
high performance tfi model ( apparently increased dwell time e.t.c. )
high voltages leads and plugs

what power figures would be gained approx , is it worth doin just any thoughts on that would be good

also another quick question , whats is a reasonable price for a second hand el or ef intake manafold? how much would a wrecker normally charge.

Re: ignition system upgrade

Try a search for Hi6 or similar. I remember a thread around somewhere on FF about herrods fitting this (maybe in the herrods section).
Of course this would be for 8's . . .

Re: ignition system upgrade

Not really worth it unless you're doing some serious engine work IMO - if they even make them for the I6?
It will result in hotter spark, no question, but I don't believe it'll make any more difference to a stocker than a decent set of plugs would have
