Hi Guys:

Sorry if this is old ground however I am looking for information on changing the standard airbox setup on my ED IL6. Have tried SS Inductions but they have only done work for the EL onwards.

I already run K & N Filter but want to see if getting more air into this engine will give me further benefit. Have seen excellant results on the induction on an EF. (Up to 8 KW's).

All info appreciated...

The part number for the Ram Air induction kit to suit the AU2 XR8 is RAI2087.
The product is available from Autobarn Stores nationally, or Repco stores nationally

the ls1s are exactly the same.

The ssinductions page says from EF on.

Could you not fab your own ? Take some ideas from the ss inductions site, and with a pipe and your dremel you can do anything :wink2:

Thanks for the info Guys.

I'm looking to actually getting more air to the throttle body by increasing the pipe "from" the airbox. Has anyone seen this on an EB - ED before?? I have seen the mandrel bent metal version on the EF and its the ducks nuts...

Nipper In motor Mag there is an ad for a new type of airbox filter arrangement. BM something I can't remember. I don't have a copy of the mag, maybe one of the other guys might get the details for you. They mention forcing the air and it looks like it fits where the airbox used to be!

I went to Repco in Penrith when i asked about a cold air induction kit for an EF they didn't know what i was talking about and they said "we only stock standard stuff" ediots. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I am really keen on purchasing an induction setup (need abit more power) and i'd like to do it very very soon, but i don't know where i can order it in from. I don't want to get it my self from a place as i've heard bad stories of people paying the money and getting jack.

Any suggestions what place will stock these cold air induction setups for an EF.
