Intermittant miss once warmed up...

Just wondering what people think might be causing it.

The engine is a 2 litre OHC 4 cylinder 'Pinto' (automatic choke) in my 1976 Mk II Escort, which seems to be stock, it certainly has the stock webber carby and stock (restrictive) exhaust manifold.

It runs ok while warming up, but once it gets up to running temp develops an occasional missfire.

The really obvious stuff has been done; timing, spark plugs, points, etc...

Could it be that the carby needs to be reconditioned, or can anybody think of anything else that might be causing it?

Thanks in advance.
