Jim Mock Motorsport - Do we have any independent facts ??

Have seen a lot of argument and speculation re the Dev kits.

Has anyone tested a DEV 3 / DEV 5 (AS FITTED) by JMM on an independent dyno - Say Dyno Dynamics in Shoot out mode???

Any real facts? I take it that the JMM Dyno is rather optimistic, and a 15.0 quarter from 170rwkw would give further weight to this.

What is the latest lads?

Cheers
Rob

Everyone has their own opinions on this, just do a search for mock and see. As for proof, I think a couple of people have found the mocks dyno to be somewhere 20kw too high. But basically all those who have the DEV kits are happy with them, just would be nice for him to quote more accurate readings.

1/4 mile also depends on a lot of other factors such as diff ratio, gear ratios, clutch, tires etc but most of all driver abilities. Pedal to the metal doesn't always work. But like edxr8 said, most people that have them are happy...

At the end of the day, after all the debate, have the car Dynod on a properly calibrated dyno before mods, (not the JMM one) and after the mods.

Would be the best way!

Also have you read all the posts on this forums?

whilst I too think the actual quoted figures are too high, the people that have been there seem to be satisfied so I guess as long as your expectations don't include the advertised dyno figures you should be ok.
As Laminge said, independant dyno before and after to give the actual increase rather than the output figure would tell you more about value for your money.
