ive come home with the extractors id been waiting for the pacemaker race series, i had a look at them next to the regular ones and the primary pipes are definately smaller so im happy.
now id like to know what obstacles i might run into while installing them.

i plan to file the ego sensor flat so it gets a good earth,
remove old manifold and cat.
put extractors on
measure between the 2 pipes and cut a length of tube
bolt the flanges to the rear of the system and the extractors then tack them round
take the section off then weld all the way round

is there anything i missed?

i want this to be done in 1 day this time, not like my last car!!

its on a 5 speed ea falcon btw

it took a few hours but its done!
hardest bit was lying under the car to tack a 440mm section of 2.5inch tube with flanges.
The smoke that comes off the extractors was very stinky for the first 15mins then took it for a boot round my estate and yeehah no more choking above 4000!
used to pull ok upto 4000, but now it feels strong at 5000
i didnt notice any lost tourqe down low, even gained some i think from bout 2000 on.
sounds very nice atm cant wait till the extractors burn in

also found out the ego sensor is a bosch item... mmm cheap at work hehe

yeah im expecting my times to drop down a bit since last time.
ive removed the gas mixer( which didnt work anyway and had a 40mm diameter neck!) replaced it with 80mm induction tube of a vt. cleaned my filter lol and full exhaust.
if i did a 16.2 before what do u think id be getting now?

might even get the 245s of my cortina to try, depends if the offset is allright
