Just fitted an SS inductions CAI to my XR8. Jeeez does the induction roar sound great. That plus quads =

Any way I've only done about 30 ks since doing it, and it seems to be running a bit hotter. before now, it's NEVER moved from a 1/3 of the way between 1/4 and 1/2 on the temp gauge. Now it seems to be constantly moving between 1/2 and 2/3, between the 1/4 and 1/2 mark (gee, that's a bit confusing).

I'm putting it down to one of two things. 1) the aluminium air deflectors are blocking too much of the radiator, or 2) the engines running a bit lean while the computer is adjusting to the extra air flow.

Any one got any thoughts on the matter? The aluminium deflectors concern me quite a bit, but looking at them, they do seem to be playing a big part in the induction....

When I had the ss intake on my pursuit, my coolant temp did not alter at all.


If you think the intake roar is great, you should listen to the bluepower intake

And you've got the deflecters in place??? Hmmmmm.

Yes I had the deflectors in place and temp did not change in the slightest.

Bluepower manufactures a new cold air intake for the BA XR8's and gt/gtp/pursuits.
