I wouldn't expect too much of a change in max power, but you will notice an improvement over the rpm range at lower power. Main difference is throttle response and liveliness of the engine.
If it made that much difference it would cost more and every car would have one.

3kw is about equivalant to turning your a/c off. not tyre frying stuff thats for sure.

Just watch the oil on K/N filter on a v8. The oil can clog the maf hot wire sensor but can easily be fixed by spraying with carb cleaner.Keep in mind if your engine starts doing strange things..
Can happen on oil foam type as well...
