Question K&N Airfilters

Awhile ago I decided to purchase a K&N panel filter for my BA XT Falcon, and am not all that happy with the performance.

What I found is that I get about 35km to the tank better fuel economy, but the kick down dose not seem to kick in quite so hard and performance in acceleration hase decreased.

Has any body easle noticed this using a K&N filter?

Re: K&N Airfilters

You won't notice any performance change with a K&N or any other filter. The difference is so small (if any) you just wouldn't be able to feel it, the main advantage is increased filtering (although some tests show worse filtering but I think that comes down to oiling) and the fact that they are reusable. Fuel economy may be slightly better because of the slight power increase too.
