I dont know the best place to buy but shop around, i got mine 50 bucks cheaper than at another store! that is a third of the price!

I got my K&N Pod Filter from rocket ind. they where having a clearance sale at the time... it was $40.

Even threw in a recharge kit too!!

is there any way the oil in the k&n airfilter can cause any problems with the running with the motor after couple weeks installing the filter i had a problem with a surge around the 4000 rpm only around 120-130 kph.

If it involves a foam filter that you oil yes but probably only if you use too much oil. The excess oil can enter the throttle body and:

a) Gum up the butterfly valve.
b) Stop the ISC (idle speed control valve) working.

but some careful cleaning with carb cleaner can also usually fix these problems.

Am I likely to see ANY change in performance and/or fuel economy if I replace the standard paper filter in my unmodified XE with a K&N Filter??
