I just purchased a 2005 Freestyle from a local Ford dealership. It did not have the "code card" in the glovebox and the dealer couldn't tell me what the code was. How can I find this out? Help! I just traded in my 2002 Ford Focus SVT (6 speed and soooo fun to drive) for a better vehicle for my two boys and myself-lots of camping. I hope I did the right thing! Thanks!!!
I think by 2005 they quit putting them anywhere on the vehicle. If it's not on the engine control box, then the dealer will have to hook up to their machine and get the code for you and most likely not for free.
