OK, its not all that much but I had a good chance to play around with an ef ghia today.
MODE 4 -
If your car has an xr6/8 or fairmont dash (with the oil pressure gauge). The top numbers on the odometer are oil pressure (not sure whether its resistance or psi ??). The lower part of the display in mode 4 is battery voltage. Should be around 12 volts when key on, engine off. And up to 14.5 volts with engine running.:s6:
Another thing that i found was when you push the reset shaft in and hold for about two seconds, it actually goes backwards through the modes:s2: :s2: :s6:

There would have to be a way. Maybe try timing the release of the button with another light. Smartlock light maybe??? Dunno only guessing. I wouldn't think they would change something like that just for a series update...
