Not sure if this has been covered recently, but is there a way to repair pinhole leaks on the side tanks with the plastic EA radiator.
I tried the sealing putty from super cheap and it still leaks slightly. Anyone else repaired their's? Dont wanna spend alot of money taking it to a radiator place to stop two pinholes.
Take it to a radiator shop they should have the side tanks in stock and you'll be looking at about $30 thats what i paid for when the radiator on my EB cracked.
I dont think the chemiweld would work with plastic...
Gonna ring the local radiator place 2moro and find out the cost of the side tank. If i'm gonna replace the pump next week (for a centre seal leak).. may as well do the job properly.. bloody money draining pit!
Fix it properly.Other things can happen like ceased engine etc.. Usually when you least want it to happen...Exchange are not that expensive..ring around, private repairs they'll quote cheap on phone to get work especially this time of year...
Well had a few quotes for handing over the radiator and getting it fixed. About $130 as an average and that includes full flush , new seal, new clampy thingy and new side tank.
Around $220 if I take the car in and they do a complete flush and clean of the motor, radiator, fixes and new coolant.
Does this sound fair for Brisbane?
