legal info

can anyone out there give me a definite answer on if it is legal to turbo a XF falcon in Queensland i know that it is legal in other states but all states are different. I know ill have to get an engineers certificate but all i want to know is if its legal any info is appreciated

Well ford did release a prototype xf falcon turbo, they also had a AWD model, would have been great to see a rpoduction model, not that this answers your question, thought i might add it.
But
There are a few xe's running around qld with turbo's on them, and they are street registered. If you can, go to a street meet at willowbank raceway, you will probably see 1 or 2 there. I have a mate up there with a tyrbo 250 in a TF cortina, and it is enginered and street legal, so i dont think you will have a problem.

In should you'd have to pay the EPA once you''ve turbo'd it to complaince it. From memory it's about $3000 for testing. Then it's legal.

Your not allowed to change anything that changes the car from the way it come off the production line for pollution reasons.

It's crap but whose got the $ to complaince it.

In Vic your technically not allow to increase an engines power by more than 10% as it requires and engineers. BS aint it. No-one does it legal. they just do it.
