Legality of tinting tail-lights

Does anyone know what the go with this is?? Ive seen heaps of cars with it and it looks good IMO, but will the police have a sook about it?

Please dont make this into "that is rice dont bother" issue..I just want to know whether or not its ok to do.

Has anyone else here done it..I know of one FF member and it looks sweet.

Re: Legality of tinting tail-lights

ILLEGAL - it is illegal to obscure the lights on a car in any shape or form. (maybe the real definition is open to interpratation).

You will be defected and fined, and then have to put standard ones on, all the stuff sold to do the tinting actually says on it for OFF ROAD USE ONLY.

But it can look really good though :0)

A few of the boys in our club take out the tail lights, wrap womans stockings over it and put it back in. Gives the same effect of the tint, except you can remove it !

Not too sure on how it long it was last though !

Re: Legality of tinting tail-lights

I tinted the taillights on my EB, looked awesome and never had any problems with police - just dont do it too dark. Although if you need to get a roadworthy done they wont pass.
