Where is the engine number located?
What appearance does the number take - raised or indented (on the cast)?
What format would the number take if it were a Ford replacement engine (ie not the engine fitted when the car left the production line)?
Im not fully familiar with that model but you should find that the engine no is stamped in (indented) in the block. Have a good look around the distributor (coil pack) and around where the transmission meets the engine. Most vehicles have it around there.
