Low Oil Pressure

Hey folks im in need of assisstance..Ive just noticed the oil press. gauge is sitt'n on the first bar on the lowside near the RED,at idle. If i drive it & say revs hit 2000-3000rpm, the oil press. sits on 1/2 to 3/4.Ive had this problem twice b4 each time the oil pickup tube had "apparently"cracked above the oil level(running a 7.0L High Energy Sump)last time around Total performance(K.E.C)removed it & braced the pickup. All things have been going well until now, what do i do now??? any ideas besides burning it? cause enuff is enuff & i aint spending another cent on "proffessional"help

Hi mate, you know who it is here. You know I had a oil pressure issue a week ago. I took a proper gauge home and screwed it in. I was told it should be 300kpa. I hope this helps, but I guess its bad news that yours is low(?)

My Max Ellery workshop manual says that (HOT) oil pressure should be atleast 290kpa@2000rpm and above....

It may not work but what brand oil filter are you using?
