I have an EA falcon and have just blown my second standard diff in 12 months.

# Does any one know the advantages of a LSD diff.

#What model would I get it from to fit my car.

#Should I look at a stronger diff.

I know for the LSD I need the diff, upper and lower arms and the driveshaft.
Is that all.

Or should I stick to a standard diff.

LSD will smoke both tyres :D
your car will launch much better off the start as the power is spread over both wheels instead of just one.
Easier to control if you know what ur doin :)
i think EA Spaks came uot with a 2.92 and/or 2.77LSD or you could get an EBXR6 3.45LSD(bout 600 bucks) which improve your acceleration by a phenomonal amount!
and no you dont need a stronger diff, the ford ones a fine unless u plan on doing HEAPS OF burnouts.
i think u should go the 3.45 diff

Your sig says you have a 3spd in which case I wouldn't go above 3.08 coz it will rev too high on the highway (2600rpm @ 100km/h)

A 2.92 LSD would probably go alright in the 3spd. Or a 3.08 LSD if they exist. If you only do city driving (80km max) then you may decide a 3.27 LSD

You mean 3.23, 3.27 is a V8 gear ratio.

If you use an EA or EB1 diff, you won't need to change trailing arms or the driveshaft. It'd be a straight swap.

wait wait wait... so on my EBII 4.0L Fairmont.. i got a V8 gear ratio? coz it says 3.27 on the tag, wtf is going on seriously. lol

Just how the hell do you blow up diffs with a boat anchor...oops I mean 3-speed?!?!?!

Personally I reckon you should get hold of a 3.23 for now, you can always re-centre it later when you change the box.....
