Re: Ltd 71

Sounds like a 400m motor but they started around 75?. Whats the engine code on engine i.d tag? S is for 400 ci 2v Is the casting number like d1ae-a,ac,a2c or d4ae-b2a.. It's a 335 series engine..

Re: Ltd 71

if it's a 400 cleveland engine then most of the stuff that's applicable to clevelands is applicable to them.

Re: Ltd 71

Hmm, me thinks he is talking about a US built LTD which ran a FE block 360/390/427cu then the Clevland 351/400 as well as the "385" 427/460 big block.
There is a book called Ford Performance by Pat Ganahl (ISBN 0-931472-05-9)published by S-A Design Books in California. This book covers the 4 common Ford V8 motors including the Windsor.
I've had my copy for years but I have seen it in speed shop book racks.

Of course without more info on the car its a bit hard to guess from half a world away. Note the motor thats fitted may not be the motor that it came with originally. If Nisse you could give us the engine number that would help us identify the motor for you.
