Hi

I have a 92 EB Fairmont Ghia, with the 5.0L engine. I believe my vacuum hose has come off my MAP sensor. Where is the vacuum pickup point on the manifold? The sensor part number is E7DF9F479AIA, it has 3 wires coming from it - a orange one, a light blue/white one, and a black/white one. The vacuum hose nipple has nothing connected to it, and there are no obvious hoses dangling off the manifold.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

While it looks identical to a MAF it's a BAP sensor on the V8 (Barametric Absolute Pressure) and as it measures the ambient air pressure that port is not meant to have a hose on it or be connected to anything.

Thanks Aussieblue. My local Ford dealer said it was a MAP sensor and should be connected to the manifold. I guess I can't trust them to know all the answers all the time. I'll visit them next time I'm in town and put them straight.
