confused Mesh grille on ED

Okay peoples, I need some opinions. I am considering (note: CONSIDERING!) putting mesh behind the front grille of my ED Falcon. I've heard of people doing it but never actually seen it. So I decided to do a quick knock up in Photoshop of how it might look.

(May look better using the chrome surround from a Fairmont?)

Knowing me I probably won't get around to doing it and furthermore; probably will think I was crazy for even considering it! Anyways, tell me what you think.

Cheers.

Mate of mine has an ED XR8 that has mesh behind the XR front grill. Looks different though becuase the grill is a different shape. He also has a different front bumper with brake ducts, side skirts and deeper rear bumper. Not the crappy ones, one that I never see before. Bit like a GT body kit but not as wide or puffy.

Talk to Marek (lowerED) He pulled out the Ford badge and the little bar and put in the mesh. Looks good IMHo.

Its really easy to fit the mesh to an EA-B style grill, but almost impossible to fit to an ED one! Ive tried and its just too hard!

Xrated --- can you change the mesh in those two top pics to chrome/silver instead of gold, gold looks a bit rice (for want of a better word) a bit too WRXish.

Just a quick question in regards to this, does it restrict the airflow in any way ???
