Hi all,

I'm getting a misfire in my XR8 below 2000rpm under light throttle. The leads and plugs are pretty new and it gradually getting worse. I'm thinking it could be the coil but not sure. Has anyone had the same problem?? What was the fix??

Do you have an oil type filter?? K&N etc

Not yet, will have soon though....
Think i might have it sorted out tomorrow. Just popped the bonnet in the dark and what do know.... The new set of NGK plugs i put in about 3 weeks haven't impressed me much at all!!! There's about 5 of them sparking where the ceramic goes into base of the plug... Looks like another new set of plugs tomorrow, not NGK this time!!!

I know it sounds stupid but are the leads on properly?? Good idea checking in dark too..

Yeah you can actually see around where the ceramic joins the base. I cant see it coming from the leads, it's too far down and the leads have pretty short insulators....
