mk1 2litre conversion

Hi, i need help with my conversion, i have read the document on theworksescort website but am still a little confused. I know that the engine mounts are in the same pos and you need mk2 mount bushes or whatever, im confused about the gearbox mount. Can i put the mount from the mk1 on the mk2 gearbox or is the mk2 gearbox longer, i dont know what holes are going to line up. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it. If anyone has any diagrams or has done this before please let me know.

This is the web page that tells you how to do it:

Re: mk1 2litre conversion

Was your Mk1 originally an auto or a manual?

Re: mk1 2litre conversion

When a mate converted his Mk1 esky to 2ltr power, he bought some kind of adaptor for the gearbox to use the exisiting holes. (This was in the early '90's). It turned out that it didn't fit in his case as his was an auto(which have bigger tranny tunnels).

anyway, have a talk to:
Quickco Motorsport,
Unit 9 26 Jacobsen Crescent
Holden Hill SA 5088
Ph: (08) 8369-0488

I've found them helpful in the past and, from memory, can even do COD to your local post office.
