Hey ppl,

just joind up here and was after some advice. Currently i have an EF Fairmont, lowered king springs all round, 17" rims and a 2.5" cat back exhaust.
I read on the ef-falcon.tk website about fitting the XR8 snorkel off an AU, so this will be happening with a K&N panel element very soon for induction purposes. What i want to know is what would be next best step. Im looking for reasonably cheap mods as im a full time student at the moment and cash is fairly sparce. I've been quoted at around $600 for extractors and cat, but i've also seen advertised a cam for all 4.0 sixes (ea-au) with a claimed 25kw at the fly for $250 fitted. I presume from this price it is a re-grind. Is the cam then extractors the best path as cam seems cheapest performance which suits me :) has ne1 got any ideas as they would be greatly appreciated, and suggestions of workshops in Adelaide to perform the mods (as i have some idea bout mechanics, but not changing cams and exhausts)

The add was in the newsletter from either the Tickford club or XR6/XR8 club, cant remember. Was a mechanic in adelaide. His name was Bruce Heinrich if i remember??

Hey dude..SA boy here too...

www.crowcams.com...check it out for cams for your EF, they offer stage 1 & 2 cams, offering similar increases in power, for around the same price. For fitting, I recommend S&J Automotive on Marion Road @ Sturt..opposite Harvey Norman, the guy who runs the place Shaun is a real enthusiast, and he will actually talk to you about what you want.

For exhaust, I recommend Southern Exhaust on Lonsdale Highway @ Lonsdale, the dude there is a Fordman, he did me Advance headers, 2.5 inch all the way through, Hi-Flow cat, Dynomax muffler and Custom tip for $850 bucks.
