My mate gave me what he thought was a tired old 302 so I could build a new engine for the Falcon. i pulled it apart today to give it a bit of a freshen up & it turned out to be 4 bolt canadian block with the larger rods & stuff. It was funny because my mate was after one of these when he was building his engine & everyone told them he had no chance so he ended up modifing a stock block & he didn't relise this had been sitting in his shed all along. He is absolutely spewing now but his loss is my gain.

First of all welcome & have fun
Umm it was going to be a mild engine so I could use it for cruising & throw my race engine back in for the drags & shows etc but Im having second thoughts as it would be such a waste of such a tuff bottom end

You got a part number on that block? Only 4 bolt Windsors I know of are the A4, new FRP racing blocks like the R302 and an aluminium version made by Fontana. They pretty obviously different to regular versions due to beefier construction so I'm surprised someone would'nt be able to spot the difference particularly with the engine out of the car.
