hello everyone im posting because i need serious help with a car i bought, apparantly the previous owner changed the ignition barrel i am a noob with cars, but i believe the smart lock is disabling the car for some reason i can turn it on and off but about 10 minutes later it does not start and sometimes have to wait a whole day. Can someone help me please its an eb 1994 ford falcon with "supposed new ignition barrel" how do i disable the smart lock or get it to work properly

you may have to take it back to ford to have it reinstaled properly as the computer has to learn that a new ignition barrel is there.

I don't know what you mean by smart lock. If you are talking about a transponder key, For did not use this until 1996, at least not in the states. Ignition barrel should have no bearing on this, to the best of my knowledge.
