Sorry to waste the space, but I just fitted AU series 3 side repeaters to my ED Fairmont and damn it was easy! I almost think the new lights look too classy for my car. All I had to do was cut the little squared off bits off the bulb holders and they fitted into the lenses perfectly, even the lenses snapped into place on the guard like they were made for it.

Also removed the engine badges, looks lots nicer!

And whats wrong with engine displacement badges? Id want people to know they r being beaten by the shitty 3.9L as apposed to the 4.0L donk :D

peter_vod69, hey mate, you might have it all wrong.
If they just sliped in without any mods to the panel, you have put them in backwards, the pointy end goes to the front.

You have to modify the plastic trim & the panel a little bit to get them the right way around.

Mate did it when they first came out, off the AUII Fairmont, they are clear, match the clear XR6 Indicators.

mine is just an AU3 XR6 so yeah, it came wiht them. the only difference between them is that the ones with the insert liek yours dont flash as bright as the ones with the bulbs. THe question is whether i can put the BA ones in my AU haha

Personally I don't think it should matter whether the pointy end is facing backwards or forwards. Technically it's more aerodynamic to have the it pointing backwards - and the latest Commodore seems to have that set-up too.
