No speedo signal!

Hey guyz, i have a problem that started out on occasion but is now a constant problem. Ive got no speedo signal! It used to cut out for a few seconds every now and then but now is totally dead! This is a problem for me as my gearbox cant get the speed input data and now i have to shift the stick manually with no 4th gear. I was thinking it was the speedo sender gear but for some reason my cruise control works fine on that same signal line. Both dash and trip meter show 0 km/h. Any ideas??

Brent

Check for vss at pcm. Can't remember if signal to cluster comes from pcm so it's worth checking that, there may be a wiring fault.
