Hey guys,

When my engine is running and I have the air filter cover off (CFI) my throttle body (i'm guessing this is the thing that sticks out of the bottom of the tennis raquet air filter holder) makes a flicking sound. This is the only way I can describe it, it sounds very similar to a fly's/bee's wings when it's flying, only a little slower)

Is this normal in a CFI? If not, how much is it to replace the throttle body incl. labour?

So this is normal? Sorry I just don't know anyone else with a CFI so I can't compare it.

Does the sound keep coming and going? If so it's your idle speed controller solenod thingo. Noisy buggers they are

Every CFi I have heard has a constant "flicking" sound coming from the injectors....my dads EA had brand new injectors installed and they also made this sound...nothing to worry me thinks...is it a constant flicking noise or is it intermittent?

Nah it's constant.. You can here it slightly with the air filter cover on, and when it's off, it's actually quite loud.

I was just wondering because I'm making a list of all the things I need to do to fix the EA

it is normal, all injectors make a ticking sound as they open and close.
