confused nuts and bolts.

Aiiigggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Tried to remove the exhaust manufold cover and to my horror I found the crazy bugger who put the bolts had taken great gusto to put them on. I hope I hav'nt knackered the bolts. I sprayed WD-40 on it to no avail, wonder if anyone has any ideas of getting them off?

Good news we've found a wrecked EA S pac 3.9 EFI with only 120k on the clock. We're ripping out the EFI intake/rack which is in remarkable condition considering the car rolled a few times but the passenger bay held remarkably well! Unfourtunately the Computer is a 4 speed one and i realised he had a ea 1 like me, silly, silly. So I'll have to find a ea1 mpefi 3 speed computer.
We ripped out the MPefi pump/dizzy and all the gizmos/sensors and a bit of the bonnet plumbing incase we need it. We also took the S Pac Dash out as well, was also wondering if there would be any extra wiring than a GL one or is the gear in the wiring harness? I also scored a snazzy EF XR6 exhaust Manifold cover after it got totalled. Its like being a kid in a candy shop at the wreckers.

Wrecker dude said he can source a 4l EB donk and will fit it in my car cheap though I don't know how long it will last but I now know a 4l with a 3 speeder will work and they go very hard. Though I'd want Grandpa Henry to rebuild the motor before I would ever think about it, even for 1k. I spose I could put big bore 4l rings in as well but it would be problematic...

Well I was bored so I cleaned the injectors when i went home. I cleaned the injectors on my EA CFI now she goes even better, nwo I'll do it every six months or so. Hmm that what I was thinking anyone got one of those Falcon clocks (that looks like the mpefi computer but is'nt its just a clock) lying around. I'll pay a decent price for it...

If u do that I would highly recommend replacing the bolts, heating them will make them lose their tensility or whatever its called. The bolts holding the cover on also actually hold the manifold on except for 1 or 2 if i remember correctly. I had no trouble with mine, have u tried shocking the spanner with a hammer?

I go there all the time, the Dude there Jack is a legend! They have everything Falcon assuming they can get their hands on it mostly genuine and non-gen. Decent prices(cheapest prices in Newie I wreckon) on a cash and carry basis so to speak.

Hey Fonz i also inquered about putting a 4L in my car out of a ED. The guy said it could be done but for the little gain in power it wouldnt be worth it. The best thing you can do to your car is put on a complete exhaust system. Extractors, High-Flow cat , 1 straight through muffler and make it 2 1/2 inch. Get a cam put in , i heard crow cams are the ducks guts. Ive been asking around about using a fuel pump of a ED XR6. I still wondering if that would be beneficial though.

That in my books would be a good start. Off course put a manual in aswell. And convert it to a Multi-Point engine.
