I run Clatex Vortex Premium all the time in my EF, but im curious as to what adding some octane booster would do.

IIRC, Vortex is rated at 95RON isnt it? So, is adding some extra octane going to be of any benefit to me? I'm just wanting to try and get some better performance as it seems to have hit its peak.

for the same price get mobil synergy or shell optimax they are both 98 ron so why pay the same for caltex...???Ps my car had problems with vortex....never again..

not good, not bad, just a waste. I wouldnt bother unless I could only get 91RON

Had an experience with my parents 96 Fairlane V8 on Vortex. In summer and warmer conditions it tended to ping and rattle alot on Vortex, put a tank of Optimax in and never heard the rattles or pings again. Go figure.
