Hi guys,

Just bought a new oil pressure switch (all of 8 bucks, bleed me dry hahaha)

Now comes the fun part... how do i replace the old one??? Its a bugger to get to, and im not sure if im supposed to take of all of the air crap on the side of the motor to get to it.... please help me im desperate to get it on there :(

Change it when you next change the oil filter (when its off) and it will be easier to get to. Also spend another $12:00 and buy the special socket to do the job.

you get to it easiest from underneath the car.

I just replaced mine when doing my dash and u do need 2 be under the car to get to it.

A 1" socket got to mine OK. I'm pretty sure it's metric tho, around 25-26mm.

U can do it with the oil filter in, but u need a ratchet with a long extension bar and a universal joint.

Well there must be different sized oil senders!! I tried a 24mm on mine and there was no way that I could make it fit!! I guess we all have to learn by trial and error!!!

We got to it from unde car very tricky. Previous owner put sender unit made for the light up one we have a gauge type.

PS:dont start car like my dad did when the sender wasnt installed hehe.

Yeah it is pretty tricky. I don't think they could have found a more awkward place to position the sender!

When I used to have an Escort I started it without the sender in. Nice little mess on the ground!!!!

1 inch is 2.54 cm or 25.4 mm
