Question Oil Breather

I was looking around autobarn today and seen these miniature filter things. Wouldnt be any bigger than the palm of your hand and on the packaging it says oil breather filter. What is this for and where do you put one? Im just interested as i have never seen one before and none of my friends arent sure and cant help me.

Re: Oil Breather

sounds like an oil breather that goes into the top of the rocker cover & acts as an oil filler cap & breather in one

regards

Re: Oil Breather

Yeah its to vent crankcase gasses to atmosphere instead of piping them back into the intake. Not the best for the environment and illegal on pollution controlled vehicles.
