My oil guage on my 88 Spak MPI swings all the way over fully to the right now. It happened when I was driving. It never lowers, even when idling, it stays way over to the right.
Why is this?
My oil level is ok....I am slightly worried about it, could be serious?

Check the sender unit on the block, it probably has a loose connection. Its circular and grey on the passanger side of the block. (near the dizzy from memory?)

your sender unit is a dud, i had this when replacing my engine, i just got hold of a new sender unit and screwed it in.

at idle, the oil pressure CANT be that high, you can cook the engine, gain clearance and get low oil pressure, but if it was once good and has gone all this way up, its the sender, your pressure couldnt be that high
