Does anyone know why the Oil and temperature gauges would not be working on an EL ?
They are always sitting at 0
I was thinking that maybe they were not connected?:freaky:
Maybe there is no power to the dash - does everything else work properly? Check your fuses - there may be a dedicated fuse for the instrument panel - look in the vehicle handbook.
Maybe a bad earth from the panel.
Maybe both guages are phucked.
Maybe both senders are phucked.
Maybe both guages and both senders are phucked.
Maybe one sender and one guage is phucked.
There are still more combinations of the above phucked items but you get my drift.
Your local Ford dealer has a diagnostic machine he can plug in and sometimes it will correctly diagnose instrument panel probs.

Dont drive the car untill they are working, especialy the temp gauge, oil gauge is hell inaccurate anyway.
