OK Idle Proble On Startup Until around 5 Minutes Of Driving

Alright another problem im full of them today. For around the last two months i start my car first thing in the moning and it runs very poorly for around 5 mins. Feels like it's got a miss shaking and the like at idle. Once the boot goes into it its not there its only at idle. After abour 5 - 10 Mins of driving the cars fine until around another 3 hours then it will do it again becuase its cooled down. Its always really bad every morning because the cars very cold and if i leave it all day and start it say at 5:00pm it does the same thing becuase its so Cold.

What's the suggestions. I dont have any misses once warm so its a strange one and i know you guys will be able to help. The forums is a wealth of knowledge.

Car is on LPG and Petrol, Problem happens on both it's more dominant on LPG but not that much more. Au Falcon 6 cyl if you dont already know.

TNT and a match is not far off.

Check air cleaner isn't clogged or throttle butterfly not dirty (oil from after market filters can cause this)

Re: OK Idle Proble On Startup Until around 5 Minutes Of Driving

I'd suggest overcooling = overfuelling. Thermostat OK?
See, the thing with these is that they use a 'waste spark' method of spark distribution, where two cylinders fire together. 1/6,2/5,3/4 from memory.
What this means is that under severe overfueling, the excess fuel will ignite on the exhaust stroke, causing the motor to lose balance and fight against itself.

I never could find out why my AU computer constantly overfuelled, ended up going back to the EL system and haven't had any trouble since. But since yours only does it cold, I suggest you inspect the thermostat/coolant sensors.
