old gas in tank please help

I am about to buy a 1996 ford bronco 351c.i. truck which has been stored and not run for five years. What do I have to do to get it running. There is
fuel in the tank. Thanks!!

Re: old gas in tank please help

make sure it's got oil and water in it. put fresh fuel in it, connect up a good battery and hit the key.

make sure none of the rubber hoses have perished and split either...otherwise you could have stuff spraying or leaking everywhere :O
