I'm thinking about putting a Jaycar 4x50W amp into the boot of the AUII Forte.

It'll be driving either 4 JL / Pioneer 5x7's. I'll be keeping the factory head unit (by order of spouse:) so I'll also need High to RCA converters (easily sourced) to drive the amp with (I could use high inputs).

Ultimately the question is 'what does everyone think about the Jaycar amps?' I've used one before in my old EA with a huge filter on the power and found it to be quite good, but the EA was a fairly loud car so I probably missed the frequently reported noise that come off the Jaycar amps.


Also, how much of a pain-in-the-A is it to get the factory doors trims off and AUII?

I got Jaycar responce amps in my car. Also - all my speakers are Jaycar responce.

It took me ages and ages of looking at other amps and speaker combo's before I finally settled on the Jaycar gear.

Have never had a problem with it...

I have the 4 * 50 powering the 6" speakers in the door, and parcel shelf.

I have a 4x100 repsonse amp bridged at 2x300RMS, its powering 2x15 inch clarion subs running at 300RMS each. It is the best amp I have ever had, I have tried pioneer, cadance and boss all with the same power ratting and the response amp shits all over them

Ive got a 4 by 100 as well running my speakers now.
Ive got no complaints, I had it running 2 JBL 230wrms subs for a a year but bought a monoblock and an L7 so put the amp onto my speakers and it does both very well. It was cheap as well.

i've got a response 4*100 running a 15"cerwin vega dual voice, so 2*450wrms and it's the only amp that has done the job half decent, and i've got 141db out if it, so they got my thumbs up
