the rubber peices on the outside of my doors of my EF fairmont are starting to look a little tired and worn. Is there any way to paint the rubber trims so they look good and new again? It would really improve the look of the vehicle.

what paint should i use, how could it be applied?

Painting won't work too well. The best stuff to use is 303 Aerospace Protectant, which brings all rubber and plastic stuff back to original lustre. Your rubber is suffering from UV degradation.

If you can't find that, get some Polyglaze Solar Care, it does a good job as well, but contains more silicon than the 303 stuff. Another one is a tube of Dow Corning Electrical Insulating Compound, another silicon paste good for rubber as well as for keeping your fuses clean and free.
