Hello
Does anyone know what might be causing and how to fix this problem. I own a 1997 Explorer w 125K. It does not happen all of the time but once ever two weeks or so when driving on highway accelerating a light flashes on and off with the message Overdrive on/off. This will last a few days or more then I will be driving on the highway again accelerating and the flashing light stops flashing. I took it to Ford and they could not find a problem. Any suggestions I would be very grateful.

Seen this once B4, it was the lockup clutch in the torque converter, but this one threw a code.

I had a quick look on Gogle, brought up a few things...

forums.vmag.com/suvexplorer0199/ Do a "Edit Menu -> Find" for "flashing overdrive sign"
Also try searching in google for something like "explorer flashing overdrive"
