Bettendorf Registered User Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Surprise, AZ Posts: 5	Overheating I just bought a 1985 Ranger 4x4 with a 2.8 V6. I am having a problem with it getting too hot. The upper radiator hose gets really really hot but the lower hose remains pretty much cool to the touch. The guy I bought it from said he just changed the thermostat. Could he have put it in upside down? Would that cause the problem I am having? Thanks, Jeff
