Question Overseas for a month....what to do to car?

Im heading overseas back to Scotland for a month soon.
Im just going to leave the EF Fairmont Ghia in the garage. Is there anything I should do beforehand except disconnecting the battery?

Thanks!

If it's in the garage you should be right for just a month. The only thing I can think of on the spot is to give the battery a good charge. You should store them this way.

only a month? thats not really long enough to worry about things like dumping oil and coolant, but maybe dump (or just run out) the petrol?

Slightly overinflate tyres to help avoid flat spots.

Re: Overseas for a month....what to do to car?

Something that everyone seems to have overlooked is the security aspect, esp.
since you intend disconnecting the battery.

One of the suggestions mentioned running out of fuel, not the best idea with
EFI I understand.

How about removing the EEC module or some other significant part of the car ?

Another trick is to remove two of the wheels and store them elsewhere.

You can also get a 12 volt solar charger from places like Jaycar if you have sunlight nearby. (they only keep a good battery topped up.)
