Ok due to a new credit card arriving and a reasonable limit,id like to get my AU2 forte going alot harder.
I am in Sydney,and am interested in the Mock kits,but did someone mention droning from the exhaust???? Please no,i dont want to go back to the days of driving the Valiant with no resonator.
Has anyone just added the Dev1 or 2 firstly and noticed a marked improvement over the stock 6????
Im open to any suggestions,please help,id especially like to hear from anyone in Sydney with a Mock kit fitted to their 6cyl.

V8? :-) How about a supercharger - about $7000-8000 for a good one and will add about 60 to 100rwKw

yeah I've got a DEV 1 kit on my EF falcon....it went from 98rwkws to 126rwkws on the day it was fitted so given that the ECU "learns" then it's probabily pushing about 130 (it's now got at better filter now too) that cost me 980 which included the EL GT mouth piece....now when you first drive it you don't really notice it a great deal, like I mean it doesn't leave the line in a cloud of tyre smoke.....but it definily revs cleaner to the rev-limiter (on 96/98 grade fuel) and has a killer mid-range (ie floor it at about 70 going up a hill and it pulls, hard!) now the next thing will be DEV 3 high-lift cam ($710 for the DIY kit which includes better valve springs), now Jim said that should give about 145-150 at the wheels, but Jim also said I should get only 115-120 with the exhaust and I got 126.....so for about 2 grand it would be a fair rocket....I believe Jim's got an AU with a DEV 3 (not the better DEV 3 high-lift) fitted, so ring up for a test drive.....
