Well for one thing the Phase 4 was a XA.
Only one went down the line - Stamped GTHO on it's complience plate - Calypso green with white interior. 3 race cars were in various stages of building when the supercar scare hit and these three were off loaded out the back door. One was destroyed in a rally incident but the other two still exist.
Phase 4 was basically an update on the phase 3. Motor - larger sump with windage tray (11pint), 780 holley retained but with larger valves/porting, larger radiator/new designed fan, stronger conrod bolts, new designed headers and a twin point dizzy (6200rpm cutout)
Close ratio gearbox was dropped / overall gearing lengthened with 3.0 to 1 ratio / detroit locker diff, 7x15" Bathurst mags / 60series tyres.
top speed was calculated at around 242 kmh (at 6200rpm) but Marsden said that the engine was good for 7200rpm or around 273 kmh (170mph)
My infos from a magazine The History of the Falcon GT.
