Hi guys 'n' girls,

I have a dillema. I swapped my phone over to a 6310i with a Bluetooth headset when I got the new wheels rather than get a new carkit, but I'm not wntirely happy with the arrangement.

The phone doesn't fit neatly in the drinks holder (with the bloody lid that I wish wasn't there) and it's too much of a hassle putting it in the centre console.

Put it under the tissues, I hear you say? It slides around too much. So, what I'm thinking is I'll get a mobile phone presenter and attach a cradle to that. That way, I can see it easily, easily reconnect the BT headset when I get back in the car and generally will feel happier.

My problem is, any ideas where I can get just a 6310i cradle from? I don't want a whole kit? I've seen the units from Red Dot stores that are just a stupid clamp and I want something classier than that. Any ideas?

Happy to think outside the square, too.

I had my car kit screwed to the dash and recently replaced the centre pod and installed a Mobile Phone Presenter. I prefer the old position. (see AP's thread below for an alternative)

The thing to check is that the phone presenter isn't in the way while shifting as you're Manual. It seems on my car (auto) that it possibly would be.

Also with the genuine ford one, when it is flipped out (always!) it covers one side of the cup holder. Annoys me as I regularly have my girlfriend in the passenger seat and it gets folded away to accomodate 2 drinks.

Aussie Pete bought a phone presenter/bracket called a "Clic On" ($38.50) that installs to the left of the ICC. IMO, a much better option than the ford unit.

It does, thanks muchly. I will check out the presenter and see if that works, but I am a bit put off by the articles references to the differences between the AU and the BA presenters. Will see and advise all.

Try the Nokia SKB-2 Clip-On Kit, It's a replacement back cover than has a clip on it and you get three round mount things that you can double sided tape/screw to any surface. Comes with screws and one sided adhesive foam to go between the mount and surface.

I should work for Nokia.
