If i removed the pinstrips of my xd would the paint under them be a different shade (23yo paint) to the rest of the panels due to the lack of sun?

If this is so how do i get rid of the sun lines?

Would using a hairdryer to heat the glue and peal them off be a good idea?

yes exopect the colour underneath to look like the day it was bought, you could cut and polish the whole cra to match if you wanted to, no way to fade it to match that i know of, as to removal, should be a mattert of lift a corner and peel away then clean off the glue, unless it has gone real bad, hard and flakey in which case try some dental floss to get between it and the car to get it off.

I removed my pinstriping off my eb and it was all cracked, used the edge of a credit card, then with some good polish i polished off the glue, you can just notice theres like two faint lines where it used to be, and my cars paint is pretty good too, i kind of like the affect its given but the more i wash the car the more the lines are fading away. took me a few hours to do each side so good luck!

yeah i used a hairdryer to get my pinstripes of my previous EF wagon... worked a charm. as for the paint - how knows until you take it off?!?! maybe take a small section off to see what that looks like?

yeah it will be VERY noticable unless your car is white then you wont notice it as bad. just give the rest of the car a good polish and bring the paint work back to how it should be.

I alredy know what it looks like underneath coz it is flaking and falling off it self.. should wait a couple of years and it would of fallen off it self..
It might look weird for a bit when thay are gone by having spotted sunlines down the side off the car...
