I am new to this forum so... Hello

I have had problems with my MK4 Fiesta for a while now, its a 1300cc injection.

Problem : Whenever I put the clutch down to change gear/start driving the engive revs drops and sometimes cuts out. I have had many things replaced that has a part to play in the airflow etc.

Replaced : Mass Air Flow, Oxygen Sensor, Throttle Potential Switch.

Solution : I had the car put into the a garage, the guy couldn't quite work it out but he said he "could" be the Inlet Manifold, he said that it "could" have a hairline crack in it (which could be getting worse) and that is letting oxygen into the engine, hence the problem.



Have anyone got any knowledge of this? Or think it could be this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as he said it would cost me £90odd to just TAKE OFF the manifold.

Some cars have a clutch switch similiar to the brake switch which runs to the ecu.If its playing up when the clutch is depressed that may be the problem.

My friend has got the same Fiesta as me, his used to Start --> Rev high --> then stall. He had to get something done to his EDU, do you think that this might be the problem? Or something to do with the clutch?

I am so so baffled!!
