so guys and girls, who has? The reason i ask is because i replaced the one on my EA a few months ago and now the one on my new EF is leaking and giving me the shits, so it's obviously a fairly common problem.

Replaced the 76 LTD one with a v/r ZL one - it was stuffed anyway

Replaced one on both XFs at fairly low k's

Replaced one on the ZL at 145,000

I have to do mine on my eb, its done 130000, and is on its second pump.....i think its cos i lock it too hard sometimes....they are cheap to fix though - i got $85 for a reco exchange trade. $100 normally. I can give you details of the place if ya in sydney if u want

thanks hot_eb, but i'm in northern NSW. I'm not sure whether just to get one from a wrecker or fork out the extra and get a new one.

Had to replace my Rack at around 100k and then 3 months later i had to replace the pump, now the hose is next.

Its on my ED XR6 its only just done 135000k.

i wouldn get one from a wrecker cos I remember someone sayin a while ago it cost them $100 or sumpin like that - at least with a reco one you get a warranty - the wrecked one could die a month later or whatever.....

Never had to replace mine yet...though the p/s does tend to shudder at low speed. I put some additive (Bitron) in and it seemed to help a bit for a while. Is this a symptom that means mine is going to need replacing soon?
