possible lifter solution


spoke to ford today and they said to quiten noisy lifters after a cam upgrade hold the revs at 2-2500 for 10 mins??????????? will this work or will i have to face the inevitable and fork out 40 bucks each for the little bastards. i only have 2 that are ticking and the ford bloke said it is possible from air being in them.

Drive around for a day or two. Then see. Is there no preload on your adjusters/lifters? Ford do have spacers in two sizes,but new lifters is the best way so long as there is some preload on them..Was the cam re ground or billett?
Ask the cam manu he may have some spacers for you..
