Power steering

Is it possible to have AU style power steering feel in an E series?

What needs to be changed if it can be done?

Best wishes

Pump will fit straight in, they havn't ganged them since the EA's till AUIII. The rack will not fit, there mounted differently. (unless someone can claim otherwise)

hmmmm, i bet its not the pump that makes the difference...
I bet its the rack...

MAybe it can be rebuilt to AU specications?

Just that after driving an AU and being able to steer with your little finger, my nf feels like my mates kingswood in comparison.

Best wishes

I actually prefered the EF steering feel over any of the AU ones when I had my old EF. But I guess each to there own. I think you might be able to set or get some one to set the ratio in the rack. (Like you were saying to AU spec)

My old XF had pinky turning effort. It was great till you wanted to feel the road.

Now the EA with leaky rack and sports steering wheel.. feel everything! I really prefer the extra feel over the XF's pinky turning non responsive effort

RIP my ol' esky.. many years of good service
