Power Steering hose leaking - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey guy's, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, its the hose that runs to the steering rack from the pump, it leaks between the 2 nuts. I put some white plumers tape on the thread and it sealed the leak up for a week completely, then started leaking again.

Does anyone know whether i can seal it up with something else or is my best option to buy a new hose. Cheers.

There is supposed to be a white hard O-ring that is used to seal it. Get a new one.

Yea thats what i thought because theres half of a white seal there, but where can i find one, any ideas?

You can get the o-rings at most part stores, I got them from OReilly’s and the dealer.
